Britney, Madonna and Jolie affect female bonding in India.
Lip service?- The Times of India asks Indian celebrities if they agree with Britney Spears, Madonna and Angelina Jolie that a woman can love another woman the same as she can love a man.Spears and Madonna made headlines with their famous kiss and reporter Shivli Tyagi wonders if it is all just for the shock publicity or if female bonding has entered a new era in public displays of affection.
Former Miss India, Celina Jaitley is quoted as saying there is nothing unnatural going on:
"They are all happily heterosexual. There is nothing unnatural about women bonding with each other. Don't sisters hug and kiss each other? There is nothing odd if you do the same with your female friends. I go for 'girls nightouts' where we laugh, have fun and even talk dirty. But there is no need for such stunts."
And Singer Anaida says that while some do it for a stunt, she thinks there is a serious lack of female bonding going on in India.
But business man Roopal Shodhan, yes Roopal, says they just have not found the right guy yet or they wouldn't be drawn to women.
What do you think? Are Madonna and Britney just good friends and able to kiss in public or do they do it just to get more publicity?
