Britney Spears is a Curious Fragrance Powerhouse

Fragrance sales help propel Elizabeth Arden's Q2 profit - 2005-02-03 - South Florida Business Journal

Wow! Britney Spears helps Elizabeth Arden to an almost 50% increase in profits during the last quarter of 2004. That's saying something since the Arden empire has been it's own fragrance powerhouse for years and dominates the perfume industry.

Britney's Curious Fragrance was the number one best selling perfume over the holiday season in both the US and over seas. Sales were up over 9% and helped the company to earn 31.7 million during the quarter. A company spokesperson said:

"The guidance for the third quarter reflects the launch of Britney Spears' Curious into additional international and travel retail markets and increased investment to maintain the success of the brand,"
